UEFA picked its all-star team after 8.8 million votes.
Real Madrid dominate UEFA's Fans' Team of the Year 2017 with five players in the XI but there is no space for Neymar despite the Paris Saint-Germain forward's status as the world's most expensive player.
Voted by the fans, the usual suspects of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi make the cut but to the surprise of many, only two Premier League players feature.
Many are also questioning how Harry Kane was omitted from the selection, with the 24-year old having scored 56 goals for club and country last year - more than any other player. A poll of users on UEFA.com picked Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Marcelo among the best players of past year.
UEFA's official website announced the group, assembled in a fantasy Team of the Year, drawing on 8.8 million votes from fans worldwide.More news: Taylor Swift's 'End Game' Music Video Is Coming This Week!

The team's midfielders include two more Real Madrid players, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
PSG's Dani Alves, Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini and Barcelona's Lionel Messi complete the team.
Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon was selected as the team's goalkeeper, with his teammate Giorgio Chiellini in the center-back spot.
Kevin De Bruyne has been included in UEFA's team of the year for 2017, the first time a Manchester City player has ever made the all star lineup.
