Games with Gold for January announced

Posted December 25, 2017

Microsoft today revealed a new group of games that will be available for free to anyone who is subscribed to Xbox Live Gold.

Tomb Raider Underworld will be available from January 1 to 15, Zombi and Army of Two will be available on January 16, and Van Helsing can be downloaded all month long.

Tomb Raider: Underworld will be available for the Xbox 360 and as a backwards compatible title for the Xbox One between January 1st and January 15th, 2018. Developed by Neocore Games, "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III" is also the game that wraps up the Dracula-inspired trilogy and was released back in May of 2015. The second one is Zombi, the alternative version of game ZombiU, firstly launched on Wii U. Nevertheless, Th Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II still had its ups and downs and still has a fair amount of hiccups and issues that some customer reviews still bring up to this day.

For the next couple of weeks, give Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass a go for the low price of $2 and get access to over 100 games and a month worth of Live perks while also donating to a good cause this winter break. A massive racing fan, Forza 4 was the daddy of all Xbox titles but Forza Horizon 3 now trumps that. Since Xbox Live Gold is a requirement if you want to play multiplayer games, we're guessing that most Xbox owners will get to partake in these freebies. What do you think of these games?

On Xbox 360, you can get the action-adventure title Tomb Raider Underworld, normally $19.99, for free from January 1 through 15. While we've predicted that we might see Batman: The Telltale series and Nex Machina as two of the main free PS4 games, we'll just have to wait for the official announcement to see how the membership services compare.
