You can now ask Waze for directions using your voice

Posted November 30, 2017

An evolution of our existing Waze Voice Commands, you can now initiate your drive, get a preview of the route ahead, send reports, and add a pit stop-all without lifting a finger from the wheel.

Waze already had voice commands, but today this feature is easier to use.

The new support for "motorcycle mode" is a way to get routing that provides optimized driving directions based on actual motorcyclists experience, with improved ETAs and potential guidance using roads where cars can't go, where legally applicable. Talk to Waze is now available for English-speaking Wazers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, and New Zealand, and will continually roll out in more languages soon.

"Whether you're riding with one passenger or more; in a hybrid, electric, or clean-fuel auto; with a special pass; or a combination of all of the above, Waze will determine your optimal route", the company wrote.

Waze is also now much more friendly for bikers with a new motorcycle mode, the third unique vehicle type supported by the app. To activate Talk to Waze, just follow these steps: Settings Sound & voice Talk to Waze Shift Listen for "OK Waze" on. Not only is it convenient, it's safer, allowing you to stay focused on the road ahead.

Another new feature is Talk to Waze, which now lets your voice control the app by saying "OK Waze" (similar to "OK Google").

Finally, the new HOV feature will help you find carpool lanes, and offers more accurate arrival times when you plan to use them.

Now, if you're carpooling or have a vehicle with a special permit, Waze will offer travel times and directions for the HOV lanes as well, making it the first navigation tool to offer the opportunity.

Check out Waze now for more information about its latest update. Talk to Waze is now available for English-speaking Wazers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, and New Zealand, and will continually roll out in more languages soon.
