Hearthstone to get Three Expansions in 2018

Posted November 30, 2017

The new card is pretty strong, as card advantages are typically important in Hearthstone. The bravest and most foolhardy adventurers will need all the help they can get as they delve into Hearthstone'sfree new single-player game mode: Dungeon Runs!

Tompson explained that releasing Adventures were holding back what some of the game had to offer in terms of new cards being added to the meta, and for those that never completed the Adventures fully, this prevented them from getting those cards. There are a total of 48 possible encounters in Dungeon Runs and three special events in the mode. It's very different from "I don't have a card I can add to my deck now and make a certain deck type". Lose and your run is over and you'll have to start all over again.

The good news is that Blizzard is giving away a few free packs and cards.

Of the 135 new cards in "Kobolds and Catacombs" we know that Temporus is going to be a big deal.

Blizzard announced today that the expansion will arrive on December 7 in North America, with a release for Europe coming a day later.

There are new card mechanics, too: Recruit, to pull a minion from your deck; Spellstones, which are spells that increase in power as you play; Unidentified Items with semi-randomised effects; and the first Legendary weapons.

Hearthstone: Kobolds & Catacombs is scheduled to launch December 7, 2017.
