Meet the new cast members of 'Saturday Night Live'

The three new featured players join a show that won nine Emmys at the recent awards ceremony.

Heidi Gardner, Luke Null and Chris Redd have each been added as featured players for the upcoming season. He co-stars on Netflix's Disjointed and delivered a memorable turn as rapper Hunter the Hungry in Lonely Island's 2016 pop mockumentary Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

Saturday Night Live has announced the three new cast members who will be joining the iconic just show just days before the premiere of its 43rd season.

Null is a fresher face who has been seen on the iO stage with the team Artemis and also appeared in the Annoyance Theatre's 2016 show "The Dead Boy Scout Musical".

She moved out to Los Angeles over a decade ago, but prior to that, Heidi Gardner grew up in Kansas City, graduating from the local all-girls high school Notre Dame de Sion's class of 2001.

Gardner has been a member of the Groundlings, a longtime source of SNL hires, while also contributing to Crackle's Bryan Cranston-produced animated comedy SuperMansion.

Null meanwhile is one of the more exciting additions to the cast in some time as he was working at a Chicago real estate firm prior to his casting, while also doing work with the improvisation group iO Chicago. Besides the new cast members, "SNL" is undergoing a major shakeup behind the scenes with new writers, Sam Jay, Gary Richardson, Erik Marino, Andrew Dismukes, Steven Castillo, Claire Friedman and Nimesh Patel.

Null, described as a musical comedian, lives in Chicago and performs at the iO Theater, an improvisation theater and training center.

The new season of SNL premieres on Global on September 30 at 11:30 ET/ 8:30 PT.
